Calsaway's reverse osmosis membranes are designed to remove 99% of the unwanted contaminants from the water that passes through the system. The water that is returned to your pool is pure water, void of calcium and any other nuisance causing compounds. Calsaway’s reverse osmosis system is so effective that it even removes bacteria and viruses from the water that passes through the membranes; however this system is not designed to completely sterilize your swimming pool. Although the membranes can filter down to virus sized particulates, our system is not designed to handle green swimming pools, so please be sure that your pool is void of any algae prior to scheduling our service. Additionally, please do not add any chlorine, algaecide, or shock to
your pool for the 2 weeks prior to our service.
High pressure reverse osmosis systems mean high efficiency which translates to minimized water loss. Low pressure systems, offered by other companies in the valley, will not achieve the efficiencies that we see and will effectively drain your pool at least once, defeating the entire purpose. Once your pool has been treated with the Calsaway system, chlorine consumption will be much lower due to the removed impedances. (Calcium acts like a sponge and absorbs chlorine.)
